Excellente marque française, Melvita est une fondation d’entreprise née autour des ruches de Lagorce en Ardèche, il y bientôt 30 ans. Labellisée cosmebio et ecocert ses produits sont d’origine naturelle et cruelty free, les ingrédients équitables y figurent en bonne place. Par ailleurs le contact avec son service client indique par intuition qu’il s’agirait là d’une entreprise « humaine » (conseillère charmante, réactive, un bonheur !).

Déjà fan de leurs produits depuis plusieurs années (découverts en magasin bio) j’ai passé commande pour la première fois sur le site internet. Première très bonne surprise : une livraison ultra rapide et d’un cadeau extra dans mon colis : un pot de miel de châtaignier bio (miam !) de 500g., au goût intense et d’une valeur de 10,50€. Ca c’est du cadeau utile, bien venu et qui fait se sentir une cliente privilégiée J. Je précise qu’à aucun moment de ma commande je n’avais indiqué que j’allais faire un article sur le sujet ! 2^ème effet kiss cool de la commande sur internet : on peut choisir ses échantillons et j’ai pu commander 2 kits de minis-produits pour tester des gammes que je ne connaissais pas encore (une grosse partie de ma commande étant pour offrir,  j’ai apprécié d’avoir également de quoi me faire plaisir).

Le premier produit que j’ai fini - comme vous le savez, mes articles ne sortent pas lorsqu’un produit est lancé, mais lorsque je l’ai testé en entier, c'est-à-dire avec un recul de plusieurs jours/semaines/mois. L’effet d’une crème ou d’un cosmétique est à voir sur le moyen terme à mon avis- est le Lait pour le corps raffermissant pour maman (comme c’est étrange que j’ai testé d’abord celui-ci ;))

Il est fluide et doux au toucher, laisse la peau souple et hydratée, légèrement satinée sans être brillante, et sent divinement bon (karité, huile d’onagre et extrait de châtaignier, entre autres composants végétaux). Il ne laisse pas de film gras sur la peau (plutôt la sensation d’avoir appliqué un lait léger, alors qu’il s’agit d’une crème assez onctueuse) et permet donc de s’habiller immédiatement. Le flacon est en plastique recyclable (youpi !), léger, solide (je l’ai trimballé en vacances) et la pompe très pratique (ca permet de reprendre du produit sans « graisser » le contenant, ce qui est toujours appréciable !). Pour l’effet raffermissant rien à signaler, mais je n’ai jamais cru aux miracles des crèmes en ce domaine, ni jamais vu de résultat probant avec aucune crème d’ailleurs. Ce qui est sûr c’est que plus la peau est hydratée moins elle souffre des changements de poids, du climat, de l’âge etc. et qu’avec un produit agréable à utiliser on en met plus souvent : celui-ci est pile dans cette configuration. Le seul reproche à lui faire : je l’ai fini trop vite tellement j’ai aimé l’utiliser !

Excellent French brand Melvita is a corporate foundation created around bee hives in Lagorce Ardèche, almost 30 years ago. Labeled cosmebio ecocert (the 2 serious organic labels in France) its products are natural based and cruelty free, preferably including fair trade ingredients. Moreover, contact with customer service suggests -by intuition- that this company is of a 'human' size (the sales councelor who called me for some precisions in my order was exceedingly charming and reactive).

I was already a fan of their products and had been for several years (I usually bought in organic food stores) this was my first online order. First good surprise: ultra fast delivery and an extra gift in my package: a jar of organic chestnut honey (yum!) 500g. Intense flavor and a value of € 10.50. A very useful gift that made me feel a privileged client. I must stress out that at no time of my order had I indicated that I was going to do an article on the subject! The second thing I appreciated about this internet order is that I got to choose my samples. I also have ordered 2 sets of mini-products to test ranges that I do not yet know (as a big part of my order was for a gift to a friend, I enjoyed having also some things for me).

The first product that I have finished - as you know, my articles do not come out when a product is launched, but when I have tested it thoroughly, that is to say, after several days / weeks / months of using it. The effect of a cream or a cosmetic is best observed over the medium term- is the Firming body lotion for mom  “Lait pour le corps raffermissant pour maman” in French (how strange that I first tested this; ))

It is smooth and soft to the touch, leaving the skin supple and hydrated, slightly silky without being shiny and smells divinely good (shea butter, evening primrose oil and chestnut extract, among other plant components). It does not leave a greasy film on the skin (rather the feeling of having applied a light milk, although it is a quite creamy lotion). It thus enables to get dressed almost immediately after applying it. The bottle is made of recyclable plastic (yay!), it is lightweight and strong (I brought it everywhere eon my summer vacation) and it’s pump is very handy (after getting started I like to be able to take more product without "greasing" the container). As for the firming effect, nothing to report, but I never believed in miracles creams in this area, nor ever seen any convincing result with any brand cream. The only thing that I am certain of is that the more the skin is hydrated, the less it suffers from weight changes, climate, age etc... The only drawback I found : I so loved using it that I finished too quickly!
